Good, Fast & Cheap Advice
Many years ago I heard that whatever you do in life you can do it good, fast or cheap - Pick any two but you can never have all three. After writing this article I ran a courtesy Internet check of my topic only to find out that there were numerous "Good/Fast/Cheap" articles online. I spent the time to see what the others said thinking I would delete what I had already penned but my feeling is that no method is best for all situations. You can have it good and fast but it won't be cheap. You can have it fast and cheap but it won't be that good. And lasty, you can have it cheap and good but you won't get it very fast. Think about resturants. Good and fast - You probably need to know the chef and hope you can get him/her to work quickly for you! Fast and cheap - There are many fast food franchises around to make this work. Cheap and good - Homemade meals are the best example of this one. On the otherhand if you are thinking about putting an annual report together for a corporation you might want to think about good and fast since you will have a time deadline but it does need to be accurate and identify your company correctly. If you are a retailer at the Super Bowl you probably are looking for items that you can get fast and cheap. You see, it all depends on the situation. Back then we used this example when it came to making business presentations in hopes of finding out what type of presentation our customer wanted. You can probably use it for the situation you are in also. Apply it to practically any service or commodity there is. |
