Pride to Me

The things I attribute pride to are things family and friends have done. I am proud of my husband and his contributions to our community, our son's graduating from college last year and our daughter just being accepted to the College of Graphic Arts. I have scrapbooks full of memorable occasions and milestones of each of them. Over the course of my life there have been things I personally was proud of and things I was not. Everyone has high and low points. On the whole they probably even out. Everyone needs self confidence to live happily. Those with False Pride appear arrogant. I believe it is best to be humble. When I hear the word pride, I cannot help but think of Gay Pride...which seems to be an oxymoron to me. |
