Sea Shell based Pearls
When retailers are laden with the task of selecting pearls one type of pearl they will run across are sea shell based pearls. The process of making shell pearls involves several different stages. The raw materials for the base of the pearls are the sea shell, which is coated & polished to the final shape of the pearl. In order to produce a good quality pearl a key ingredient is what is called a “mother of pearl bead”. This element adds weight, value, and durability to the pearl. A substance usually made of pulverized mother of pearl is applied to the base and allowed to dry, and then is polished to remove bumps, blemishes and repeating the process to build up the density & uniformity of color. Sea Shell Pearls are a better choice for many reasons. The first one is their price. Because the process in controlled by humans rather than nature, it can be perfectly round and perfect luster white. The variety of the cultural pearl not only makes it expensive, but also makes it hard to find in perfect shape & size. The manual production of the sea shell pearl enables the manufacturer to determine the shape & size and color of the pearl, thus making the result seem perfect. The modern technology of pearl production can also assure its durability. The sea shell pearl will always keep its shine and color and will not be affected by sweat, perfume or detergents. Naturally you will also have pearls made of plastic derivatives and ones Mother Nature made also. There need to be items for different budgets and personal situations. Sea Shell based Pearls are just another option.
